MiSensorKit - Multi-Modal Camera

Last updated: March 14, 2026

Overview

MiSensorKit is a multi-modal field recording application designed for research and data collection purposes. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Data Collection and Storage

MiSensorKit does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data captured by the app is stored exclusively on your device in the app's local Documents directory.

The app captures the following sensor data during recording sessions:

  • RGB Images: Photographs taken by the device camera.
  • LiDAR Depth Maps: Distance measurements from the LiDAR sensor.
  • Camera Pose: Camera intrinsic parameters and 6-DoF position/orientation data from ARKit.
  • Skeleton Data: 3D body joint positions detected via ARKit body tracking.
  • Ambient Light: Light intensity and color temperature estimates from the AR session.
  • Barometric Pressure: Atmospheric pressure readings from the device barometer.
  • Selfie Camera: Front-facing camera frames when enabled.
  • Eye Sight Data: Gaze-related data when enabled.

Face Data and Face-Related Sensor Data

When you enable selfie recording features, MiSensorKit may capture front-facing camera frames that include a person's face and may record face-related sensor outputs provided by ARKit, such as face transform, eye transform, and gaze-related coordinates. This face-related data is recorded solely to create the on-device multimodal dataset selected by the user and is not used by MiSensorKit for identity recognition, identity verification, advertising, marketing, or user profiling.

Face data and face-related sensor data are stored only on your device in the app's local Documents directory. MiSensorKit does not automatically transmit, disclose, sell, or share this data with the developer, with third parties, or with remote services. Face data may leave your device only if you choose to export or share a recording yourself using iOS file access or the app's manual sharing tools.

Face data and face-related sensor data remain on your device until you manually delete the recording in the app or through the iOS Files app. Uninstalling the app removes all app data stored locally on the device.

Device Permissions

MiSensorKit requests the following system permissions to function:

  • Camera: Required to capture RGB frames and enable ARKit scene understanding.
  • Motion & Fitness: Required to access barometric pressure readings from the device sensors.

These permissions are used solely for on-device data capture. No data from these sensors is transmitted off your device by the app.

No Network Communication

MiSensorKit does not connect to the internet, does not use analytics services, does not contain advertising, and does not communicate with any remote servers. The app operates entirely offline.

Data Sharing

Recorded sessions are stored in the app's Documents folder and can be accessed by you through the iOS Files app or by connecting your device to a computer. You may also choose to export a folder or zip archive using the app's share features. You have full control over your recorded data. The app does not share your data with any third parties.

Data Retention

All recorded data remains on your device until you manually delete it through the app or through the iOS Files app. Uninstalling the app will remove all associated data from your device.

App Store Privacy Declaration

In accordance with Apple's App Store Connect privacy requirements, MiSensorKit declares the following:

  • Data Collected: None. MiSensorKit does not collect data from this app as defined by Apple's privacy guidelines.
  • Data Linked to You: No data is linked to your identity.
  • Data Used to Track You: No data is used to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
  • Third-Party Partners: MiSensorKit does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics, or advertising frameworks.

All sensor recordings (camera frames, depth maps, poses, skeleton data, gaze data, ambient light, and pressure) remain on your device and are never transmitted, processed remotely, or shared with any party. The user has full control over recorded data via the iOS Files app.

Children's Privacy

MiSensorKit does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app records sensor data locally on the device and does not transmit any data.
